Now that we’re officially in Autumn (where has this year gone!?) it’s time to turn our thoughts to this year’s upcoming Harvest season.
It has been a very busy year for us all at Brent Foodbank. So far this year, we’ve been feeding between 1,000 and 1,200 people every month, over a third of whom are children and the numbers are set to increase as we approach the difficult Winter months. We are only able to meet this demand through the generosity of our community; whether that be through donating time, money or food. We quite simply would not be here without this invaluable support.
Harvest is a key moment to reconnect with individuals, schools, faith groups, community organisations and local companies who are so vital to the work we do at Brent Foodbank. It is also an opportunity to raise awareness of the struggles people in our community are facing and show our support through donating to Brent Foodbank.
So why not organise a Harvest Food Drive! You can arrange this with your friends, neighbours, community groups, work place and all donations will go directly to people in our community who are struggling to afford essential items. You can also download a Harvest Collection poster Harvest Collection Poster.
To find our more about what items we are able to accept, please refer to our Donate Food page.
You can drop off your donations at our Willesden Warehouse 100 High Road, Willesden, NW10 2PP (opposite St Andrew’s Church) Monday to Friday, between 9:30am and 4:30pm. For large donations, please email ahead at [email protected].
Thank you so much for your support!
