New chapter for Brent Foodbank

29th February 2024

Today marks a very exciting step in Brent Foodbank’s journey…. We are pleased to announce that Brent Foodbank is now a locally governed charity; here to serve our community, run by our community.

With the unwavering support of The Trussell Trust, Brent Foodbank has been providing people unable to afford the essentials with emergency food parcels for over 10 years. And we have only been able to do this through the support and generosity shown to us by our community. Individuals and organisations who have donated food, time, money and their wonderful facilities for us to host our food banks.

Together with The Trussell Trust, we recognise how vital these relationships are, which is why we are incredibly excited to hand Brent Foodbank back to its community to develop and create new partnerships as it starts its new chapter.

We would like to thank The Trussell Trust for guiding us through this transition and we remain proud and active members of The Trussell Trust network, along with the other 1,400 food bank centres nationally who are committed to a shared vision of a future without the need for food banks.

We would love to hear from you if you would like to be involved in Brent Foodbank’s future, whether that be through volunteering, fundraising, donating food or developing new partnerships.
